Marion “Dee” Allen

Vice President Land and Legal

As a Texas attorney, for over 30 years, Dee has negotiated countless agreements.

Dee’s extensive knowledge and experience in land title matters began in 1987.  While attending his first year of Law School at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia, he worked for a local title company. As an attorney, Dee ‘s firm represented a Texas title company, for which he prepared title opinions, closing documents, and advised on local and state laws.

Leaving his private law practice in 2007, he became project manager for an oil and gas land services broker in the Fort Worth area.  There he worked closely with in house landmen to coordinate job priorities and work schedules in a fast-paced competitive environment in the Barnett Shale.  As a project manager, he was responsible for supervising the title operations involving over forty landmen.  Dee’s innovative approach included the implementation of paperless runsheets and title reports, which are now common in the industry. He has developed wide ranging experience in land title and oil and gas negotiations in subsequent years.

Dee and his wife, Janet, have been married for 45 years.  They both graduated from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa Oklahoma and are the parents of two, and grandparents of five.

An avid hunter, fisherman, and golf duffer, Dee enjoys being outdoors and teaching his grandchildren the finer points of how to spin a great fish tale.
